About me

I have a mission to create the perfect balance between pop and dance music.

When I was young, I started with classical music. As I got older, around 13, I picked up the guitar and started playing everything from pop to jazz to blues. After a while, I became a big fan of Jeff Buckley and Tamino, and that’s when I really wanted to start writing my own music. I mean, I did write a song when I was like 9 or something. But let’s not talk about that one, it’s luckily lost on an old iPad in GarageBand haha.

After writing a couple of songs, I wanted to add drums to them. Around that same time, I went to an open day at the conservatory (pop department), where someone asked a question about Ableton. I remember thinking: I will never become one of those weird electronic music people.

Then I got home and immediately bought Ableton to try adding drums to my songs. That got out of hand pretty quickly. I discovered I actually loved producing more than anything else I had done before.

Not long after, someone in my hometown hosted a DJ workshop. That’s where I stood behind the decks for the first time. I loved it so much that within a week I sold my guitar (rip my lovely Les Paul, I miss you) and bought a DDJ-400 controller to start practicing DJing.

So… I became one of those weird electronic music people.

I applied to the electronic music department at the conservatory in Amsterdam and got accepted, thank god. That time was honestly the best of my life. Being surrounded by music all day, having the best classmates, just enjoying every single day. During that period, I also started my career professionally and played my first gigs. I was really into hard techno back then and went to a lot of those events.

Now, a couple of years later, I’m here. I’m blending more of my pop background into dance music, and recently I’ve been moving towards more trance-inspired tracks as well. I’m experimenting more with different genres again, which I really enjoy.

My whole life has revolved around music, and it honestly feels like a blessing that I still get to do this every day :)
